The Vast of Night

While the Pentagon just confirmed the sighting of UFO’s, that hadn’t yet happened in 1950s America. There were rumors, mysterious objects in the night sky and starchy government confirmations of…weather balloons.

This film places us firmly in small -town America in the 1950 and offers us the chance to watch as teen telephone operator Fay Crocker (Sierra McCormick) and young reporter and night radio DJ Everett Sloan (Jake Horowitz) try to solve the UFO mystery in their small town of Cayuga, New Mexico.

It’s a super fun eerie film from first time filmmaker Andrew Patterson and I’ve been thinking about since Fantastic Fest 2019. With movie theaters now mostly closed due to the Coronavirus, it’s a good thing that the film is now streaming on Amazon Prime!
