36 hours in Black Rock City
After Hurricane Harvey ended–and since my 80 year-old parents in the Houston suburbs were totally fine— I managed to get to Burning Man for a couple of days.
Luckily I was camped with the Pinhole Project, and I got to go out with them as they shot some of their large pinhole cameras on the playa. In this selection of photos, you’ll see some of the Pinhole shots being taken, and some of the Pinhole Project crew prepping for shots. Some of my shots here are a digital take on the complicated artistic arrangements made for their Pinhole Project shots. You can check out the Pinhole Project photos for 2017 here.
You’ll also see some shots of my flying into the playa, which was an experience itself. I hadn’t planned to come in that way, but by the time I got out of Houston, that was the easiest option.
