Looking Forward To the Closing Night Party at Fantastic Fest
One of the reasons I love Fantastic Fest is that the Closing Night Party is always awesome–although sometimes if you are on deadline you can’t get there!
This year the Fantastic Fest closing night party takes place at “bona fide ancient cowboy town on the Austin outskirts” and “dress it up to match the unrepentant misanthropic western rage of our official closing film, BONE TOMAHAWK.”
But I like the closing night party because it seems like anything goes. After all, last year’s involved seeing Elijah Wood kissing a donkey (in a photo booth) in what could have been a scene from an MGM studio musical! You just had to be there.
Of course, a lot of people kissed that donkey that closing night party. It was quite a night!
As SpectreVision (with partners Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller, and Elijah Wood) is presenting the keynote at the Fantastic Market this year, we’ll see if Wood has any time this year for posing for pictures with a consenting donkey!
