My Pictures Spotted In The Wild: April
It’s time for another roundup of places where my photos have been used!
I found a picture of Al Gore at South by Southwest as a header for a Fast Company story!
One of my pedicab pictures is in a Fast Company story on the Game of Thrones called “FROM DILDOS TO GOLF CLUBS: SEE ALL THE DIFFERENT WAYS PEOPLE HAVE PLAYED THEIR OWN, WEIRD, GAME OF THRONES.”
A picture of the singer from Chvrches was used on XOJane.
Someone called one of my pictures from last year’s Austin Psych Fest “awesome.” Here’s the picture of the band Toy that was “Image of the Day.”
Here’s a picture of a metal statue in West Asheville in a story on North Carolina roadside attractions.
A SXSW crowd picture in Tech Times.
The same SXSW crowd picture also appears in a Southby guide in The Square Foot.
Some Hong Kong pictures on Trip Expert.
A photo of a speaker from SXSWEdu used in a story about education in Baltimore.
You can see my photo of Grumpy Cat at SXSW on The Dodo.
Johnny Marr from Fun Fun Fun Fest at The Sound Bot.
A photo of “Wachowski starship” in a blog post on Sense8.
In last place is a website for a radio station in England that was using one of my Slayer pictures from Fun Fun Fun Fest. Yet they didn’t give me a photo credit, and they had covered up my watermark (I found it via the metadata embedded in the photo.) They pulled it and replaced it with their own logo when I pointed it out.
Just because I choose to disperse things via Creative Commons doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want. There are rules. At least the station changed it when I pointed out what they had done on Twitter, but it shows either a bit of cluelessness or a willful choice to steal an image, not going along with my very, very liberal photo license!
