There are LOTS of films from Eastern Europe at Fantastic Fest
It’s the night before Fantastic Fest and it’s raining here in Austin. As someone with a minor in Eastern European studies and a ton of friends in Latvia, that makes me think about all of the films from Eastern Europe that are playing in the festival this year!
I’ve already written about the dark home invasion of the Latvian/ Estonian film “The Man In The Orange Jacket” directred by Aik Karapetian, which I’m totally looking forward to seeing on the big screen.
There year Fantastic Fest includes Hardkor Disco from Poland, directed by Krzysztof Skonieczny.
According to the brief summary from Fantastic Fest, “A misanthropic young man plunges into an intense relationship with the daughter of the couple he means to kill.”
The trailer looks INTENSE!
I also understand that there is an Estonian short film in Fantastic Fest this year.
