Stargayzer Sunday Preview

I’m super excited about today’s lineup at the Stargayzer festival. I’m also excited about the fact that it isn’t so hot in Austin today, which is a nice change for going to a festival!

First on my schedule is Nakia, who is known for The Voice, who is an Austin resident… and I’ve never seen him preform! He’s on at 2:30 p.m..

At 3:30 p.m., I look forward to seeing Gretchen’s Disco Plague. While I’ve met Gretchen Phillips socially (Austin is a small town), and I know her work from the 90s band Two Nice Girls, I’ve never seen her play in a show.

A cute tatted up dude I was talking to in the street recommended Butch County, saying that they are women who rock hard. They play at 4:30 p.m..

Later, at 7:00 p.m., I’m looking forward to seeing Xiu Xiu, as I caught part of their set before seeing the Swans in Houston earlier this summer.

And at 8:45 p.m, I’m totally looking forward to seeing Toronto band Austra again!
