Stitches
Yesterday I had another doctor’s visit to take care of the ick I had over the holiday season. I learned two things at the doctor’s office.
One is that I seem to be an ultrarapid metabolizer of Lidocaine. What this meant was that at the doctor they had to give me a zillion shots, and it still hurt fairly often.
This is the first time I’ve had stitches since I was old enough to demand a painkiller, insist that I shouldn’t hurt when something was being done to me by a doctor!
This ultra fast lidocaine processing may be why having anything done at the dentist has always sucked for me.
The second thing I learned is that having stitches right in the middle of your chest is a bummer, especially while driving with your seatbelt on.
