What To Expect When You Are Expecting Austin Psych Fest: Friday Picks!
Today is the first day of the 6th annual Austin Psych Fest.
Here’s a look at some of the bands who’ll be playing the festival TONIGHT.
VIETNAM: 6 p.m. Friday, ELEVATION AMPHITHEATRE
I feel in love with the band Vietman after a Waterloo in-store show.
For a long time, I drove around with the Vietnam’s 2007 self-titled CD on repeat in my car. (My favorite off the album was Priest, Poet & the Pig.) At one point I walked past the band during a photo shoot at South By Southwest, and I was tempted to tell them that I’d been obsessively listening.
After that I kept seeing them everywhere during the festival, but I was too shy to say anything! Clearly I am a terrible stalker.

On the advice of a friend, I saw Suuns play at SXSW 2013. They were amazing.
